Bois Lamica is a Quebec-based supplier of spliced natural wood veneer sheets for wood professionals across Canada and the United States.

Located in Victoriaville, our company specializes in the splicing of quality veneer sheets without backing, ready to be integrated into various transformation, pressing and other professional applications.

Generally offered in 1/50″ thickness and in common formats such as 4′ x 8′, our veneer sheets are supplied without backing and carefully prepared according to the species, cut type, selected matching method and final application.

Veneer sheets ready to integrate into your processes

Spliced veneer sheets can be integrated into different professional applications depending on the type of project, the substrate used, the desired appearance and the planned transformation steps.

At Bois Lamica, our role is to prepare natural wood veneer sheets that are ready to be processed by our clients, while taking technical, visual and production requirements into account.

Beyond the species and matching method, dimensions and grain direction also play an important role in how the veneer integrates into the final application.

Formats, Dimensions and Grain Direction

The 4′ x 8′ format is one of the most commonly requested formats for natural wood veneer sheets. Depending on the project and the intended application, dimensions can generally be adjusted between 3′ x 7′ and 5′ x 10′.

For certain species, sheets can also be prepared up to 12′ long, depending on veneer availability, cut type, sheet preparation possibilities and specific project requirements.

Grain direction can also be specified as needed. Sheets may be prepared with a vertical or horizontal grain direction, depending on the desired orientation for the panel, surface, component or finished product.

Our veneer sheets are generally offered in 1/50″ thickness and supplied without backing. They are carefully prepared according to the species, format, visual matching and intended application.

Our Species, Cuts and Matching Methods

The appearance of a veneer sheet depends on several elements: the selected species, the cut type, the grain direction and the way the sheets are matched.

These choices influence the final look, visual continuity and the way the veneer integrates into a panel, door, piece of furniture or architectural surface.

To help professionals make informed choices, Bois Lamica provides detailed resources on available species, cut types and matching methods.

Professional Applications

Our natural wood veneer sheets can be integrated into different types of projects depending on the processes, substrates and objectives of each client.

They can be used in the production of flexible-backed veneer sheets, veneered panels, doors, commercial furniture, manufactured components, interior millwork or decorative natural wood surfaces.

Bois Lamica does not press veneer onto panels and does not supply backed veneer sheets. Our expertise focuses on the preparation and splicing of veneer sheets for professionals who then transform them according to their own production methods.
